Roy Pena was a great man who would help anyone. He was always quick to call and check in on friends in need asking how he could lend a hand in any way. For anyone who knew Roy, they knew he had always been an avid Aggies fan. He would argue with anyone that his nationality was Texan and only Texan. Roy was known for his witty comebacks, his sarcastic nature and his smug response to those whose opinion was less favorable than his. He was also known to be a loving, caring, great brother, friend, son, and most importantly a great father.
Roy’s beautiful daughter Jocelyn M. Pena was the most important thing to him. She was his pride and joy. Just talking about Jocelyn he would light up. He was a great man in his time and hopefully a better one in the afterlife. Our dear Roy “our historian of Texas” will be greatly missed by all.
The Memorial service for Roy will be held Saturday, August 19th at 5:30pm at First Baptist church of Nixon. The address is 403 N. Texas Avenue, Nixon, Texas, 78140.
We will miss you dear Roy, there are angels walking the earth and you were one, in our family’s darkest days, there you were ready to help with all, with that smile and funny laugh, your mom and I were taking about the awesome celebration in heaven, when all your family and friends come to welcome you home, Fly High sweet Roy❤️
