Roberto Mendez Jr.

June 12, 1975 ~ July 5, 2023
Born in: San Antonio, Texas
Robert Mendez Jr, age 48, nurturing and dedicated Father of six, and loving husband to Michelle Sanchez, passed away 11:56am on the 5th of July. He gained his wings with his family beside him, after a courageous fight. Robert was born in 1975 in Texas. He grew up around not only his parents and siblings, but he also spent massive amounts of time with his cousins, tias, and uncles. This flourished him to be the family oriented man he was, and lead him to be the greatest influence and biggest impact to his children. Robert was selfless, hardworking, caring, and goofy, and with each of these qualities he incorporated into his loving ways of Fatherhood. He met his wife in 1994 and they fell in love. They shared a connection that felt like magic, and soon after also shared a family. As a husband and father he was the rock of the family, the glue that held everyone and everything together. Robert was newly a grandpa, and he was absolutely ecstatic and filled with joy about it. The way his eyes lit up around her was like watching stars twinkle in the darkness. Robert enjoyed drawing, tattooing, fishing, and trips to the shooting range. His favorite pass time was spending time with his kids and wife. He believed family is the greatest strength. He will be enormously missed as our hearts ache more and more each day without him.
Tenderly we treasure the past with memories that will always last.
Preceded in death by his parents Robert Mendez Sr. and Virginia Perez, grandma Ysabell Perez, grandparents Julian Mendez and Maria A. Mendez, and Tia Terrecita Benavides, and his brother Chris Mendez Sr. Survived by his wife Michelle and his children Robert 3rd (Jeanelle) Joe, Virginia (John) Lexi, Jonny, Chris, sister Christinia Mendez and of course his pride and joy his granddaughter Ellenaej Mendez.
