Petra Rosales

November 1, 1953 ~ March 12, 2025
Petra DeLeon Rosales, was born on November 1, 1953, in Plainview, Texas. She passed away at her home in New Braunfels on March 12, 2025.
She was a woman whose kindness knew no bounds, whose heart had room for everyone, and whose selflessness touched the lives of all who knew her. Petra never met a stranger—she greeted everyone with warmth, love, and an open heart.
She was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Alfredo, who passed in 2013, her mother Agustina, father Victor and brother Ismael (Joe).
Though her family is grieving, they take comfort in knowing she is at peace. Petra’s legacy of love and compassion lives on through her children: Rachel Castillo, Johnny, Vincent, Andrew, and Alfredo Rosales Jr., her grandchildren: Jesse Ryan, Victoria, Justin, Christa, Carmen, Bryan, Aaron, Nathan, Jocelyn, Jacob, and Johnny Stitch, as well as her great-grandchildren: Sol, Jesse Wade, D’Angelo and Zabella.
Petra’s life was a testament to the power of kindness and generosity. She gave without hesitation, loved without limits, and always put others before herself. Her laughter, wisdom, and gentle presence will be deeply missed, but the impact she made will never fade. When she wasn’t visiting her daughter and grandkids in Waco, you could find her playing Loteria with her friends or shopping with her sister Geneva. She loved her sons so much and was always just a phone call away. She was truly one of a kind and the glue that held the family together.
Her family finds peace in knowing that Petra’s love will forever surround them, guiding them just as she did in life. Though she is no longer here in body, the memories remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of Petra’s life will be held at the VFW after the visitation, from 6-10pm where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the great woman she was.

Pat you always made my babies feel so loved. They always knew you where there for them at the drop of a dime. You met me when I was just a kid and didn’t have a pot or a window but you trusted me with you only daughter. Thank you for loving my family with everything you had. You will always be in my prayers and check in on them kids from time to time. I love you and I miss you Pat. Your favorite son-in-law
For the family, losing someone like her is devastating to say the least. There are no words sufficient enough to express the loss or offer any amount of comfort. Hold each other close, remember her and what she wanted for all of you. And always smile as she did!
Our Sincere Condolences to the Family of Pat, Our Comadre Pat. Always so loving, kind and smiled like she was so happy to see us. What a beautiful life she lived to leave precious memories to all her children. May they pass this on to theirs. Rest in peace Comadre! Prayers for everyone.
