Mesha Marie Blalock, 50 of Fisher, Texas, passed away on August 7, 2023 at her home. Born on March 28, 1973 in Houston, Texas, she was the daughter of Claud Shepherd and Trudie Shepherd.

Mesha is survived by her husband Christopher Blalock and family, son, Thomas “TJ” Knebel, Jr., daughter, Savanah Knebel; mother, Trudie Shepherd; father, Claud Shepherd and his wife Robin; brother, John Eric Shepherd and his wife Shana and their daughter, Autumn; father-in-law, Larry Knebel. She also leaves to cherish her memory multiple aunts, uncle, cousins and friends, including her best friend Jamie and husband Jerry.

Mesha was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Knebel; maternal grandparents, BJ and Lorene Herring; paternal grandparents, Claud and Eva Shepherd; and mother-in-law Evelyn Knebel.

Mesha attended Alvin High School and left with a GED. She then went on to graduate from Alvin Community College with an Associate’s degree in Science in 2001 and later attended Texas State University before receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Environment and Science from the University of Houston, TX, Clear Lake in 2004.

Mesha had a passion for life and nature. She loved being around rivers and lakes and took every opportunity to be near them. She also loved her family and cherished time spent with them. She adored her dogs, chickens and fish. Mesha had a zest for life and was constantly trying new things. She enjoyed gardening and building her own projects. She was strong-willed, a real force of nature. Mesha was a beautiful soul, inside and out. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, December 8, 2023 at the Oaks at Oak Plantation, 19706 FM 521, Rosharon, TX 77583.
