Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother peacefully passed away at her home in New Braunfels, TX on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the age of
97. Marrita was a lifelong resident of Arabi, LA. She is survived by her daughter, Jan Landry Heintz and husband, HJ; grandson, Cory Heintz and wife, Samantha; granddaughter, Mandy Heintz Jones and husband, Brian; and her great grandchildren, Morgan and Camden Heintz who she lovingly referred to as her “hearts”. She will be missed by her “best friend” Gretchen Leeves who loved and cared for her. She is predeceased by her husbands, S. Ralph Landry (1953) and Charles Cottone (2017) and son, Jerome Cottone. A private service will take place at a later date.

Thanks to her & Charles I learned to enjoy out (Tee) time everyday day after work.
She always brought us some of her delicious oyster patties on Thanksgiving.
My thoughts & prayers are with her family.
Heaven now has a new angel.
