John Phillips Bryan

john bryan

John Phillip Bryan, 77, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at his home in New Braunfels, Texas, on February 26, 2025. John was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 5, 1947, to Jane & Leonard Bryan and grew up in Beaumont, Texas. John went on to serve his country as a United States Army Special Forces “Green Beret” in the Vietnam War. John returned home to Beaumont where he later met and married Latresa (Campbell) Bryan. Together, John and Latresa raised their sons, Josh & Jarrod Bryan, in Lake Jackson, Texas, before moving to New Braunfels. John was a proud union man and lifelong Teamsters Union member. While his work often took him away from home, John never missed a holiday with his family at home.

John loved his family and recently celebrated his 43rd wedding anniversary with the love of his life, Latresa. Of all his accomplishments, John was most proud of his two sons, Josh and Jarrod, and took every opportunity to brag on them both.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Jane & Leonard Bryan, and survived by his wife Latresa Bryan; sons Josh Bryan and Jarrod Bryan; grandsons Quintin Robinson and Josh Kennemer; daughter-in-law Laura Krzesienski; brother-in-law Dale Campbell and sister-in-law Bonnie Campbell; mother-in-law Oretha Campbell; nephews & nieces Aubrey & Sarah Campbell, Clayton & Christina Campbell, Whitney & Ashley Campbell.

The family sends a special thank you to Lawson and all the staff at Home Instead and Hope Hospice New Braunfels as well as Monty and Pam Webb, Clayton and Christina Campbell, and Lisa Henry for their kindness and grace in caring for John in his last days.
