Chance Cameron Herron, age 19, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Chance was born on June 8, 2005 in Columbus, Ohio to Kyla Jackson-Stubbs and Billy Herron.
Chance graduated New Braunfels High School in 2022, more than a year early. He was a talented artist, musician and videographer and his vibrant personality left a lasting impact on all who he encountered.
Chance is survived by his mother, Kyla; fiancé, Gabriella Gil, who is expecting their baby; grandparents, Pamela and Kenneth Jackson; sisters, Nyari and Laylah Herron; niece, Tylie Davidson; uncle, Chase Jackson; aunts, Nikka Williams, Tracy and Dalin Brown (uncle), Patricia Berens; godmother, Ivory Davolio; best friend and brother, Tre Scheffel; and his beloved dog, Leo. Chance is survived by many more family and friends who loved him dearly.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM with a Service to begin at 12:30 PM at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel in New Braunfels, Texas. Services will be lived stream, the link will be uploaded prior to service.

Kyla & Entire Family – My heart breaks for you. Many are with you in sharing in the loss of Chance. May you find comfort in this, cherishing the wonderful memories until you are reunited. Sending love and support, keeping all in my thoughts and prayers.
I didn’t get the pleasure of knowing this beautiful young man but I am blessed to have been one of his nurses to help care for him. Every chance I got I prayed over him.
I don’t know why but he left an impact on me.
