JoAnn Wilma Zech

JoAnn W. Zech, age 82, and a resident of New Braunfels, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 23, 2025 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels. JoAnn was born on December 28, 1942 in Chicago, IL to the late John Bresinger and Cora Stehl Bresinger. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Walter F. Zech, who passed away on March 12, 2006; two sons, Timothy Walter Zech and Thomas Evan Zech; great-granddaughter, Kaia Rose Barrera and by her two brothers, John and Jim Bresinger. Survivors include her son, Jason Zech and wife, Kelly; daughters, Heidi-Jo Zech-Castillo and husband, David and Heather Ann Zech and husband, Christopher Herrera; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for 9:30 AM on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, where JoAnn will be laid to rest with her husband.
