Betty Rust

Betty Lou (Gregory) Rust, 90, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, in New Braunfels. She was born August 27, 1934, in New Braunfels, Texas and was the daughter of Clarence Sydney Gregory and Paula (Georg) Gregory-Stahl. Betty is survived by her brother, Richard Gregory and wife Joy of Shreveport, Louisiana, her four children, Susan Wilson and her husband Lyle of Canyon Lake, Texas, Patti Corrigan and her husband Darryl of Castle Rock, Colorado, Terry Rust and his wife Sharon of Kingsbury, Texas, and Cindy Kruckemeyer and her husband Nolan of Kingsbury, Texas. She was the proud Grandma of 11 grandchildren and Oma to 24 great-grandchildren, as well as a favored aunt of numerous nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Gus, the love of her life, as well as her parents, her brother, William Gregory, and one grandson, Shaun Noll.

Betty was a mom first and foremost and did not return to work until all her children were in school. She worked in the finance field until her retirement. She loved traveling to Colorado with Gus and loved the mountains and scenery. Betty also enjoyed gardening, butterflies and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All will hold her memories in their hearts and remember all the good times and even the times she’d give you that “look”. Family was foremost in her heart and life always. Her sense of humor could be mischievous and survived until the very end.

The family would like to send a special thanks of appreciation to the staff of Oaktree Assisted Living for the excellent care they provided for our parents. It is a blessing to know they were cared for.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 28, 2025, at Lux Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
