Born in:
Fort Worth, Texas
Resided in:
Schertz, Texas
Born on July 15, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas, he was the son of Charles Earl Eskew and Anna Lee Greene. Mike is survived by his sister, Karen Lee Chesser, brother, Clinton Bowen Bronson, Jr., nephews, Cameron Cayce Chesser and Tristen Gage Bronson, and his beloved, faithful canine companion, Bart.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Lee Greene; his father, Charles Earl Eskew; his Aunt Angie Greene; his cousin, Mike Cobb; and many close friends.
Mike grew up in the Mid-Cities area and graduated from L.D. Bell in 1974. In fact, he drove an ambulance to school while he attended classes. He received an Associate’s degree in Biology from TCJC and even taught classes, but his path eventually led him into sales. Mike had an extraordinary sales career in the printing industry. It allowed him to travel domestically and internationally and meet folks from all walks of life. One of his favorite places to visit was Ireland. He also had a passion for the cowboy way of life, enjoyed his ranch in Thorndale, and loved his horses. He naturally enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a great backyard mechanic. He loved to build and rebuild anything with an engine. His favorite project was a VW dune buggy he called Daisy. Mike was highly active in his church and had a solid foundation in his faith. He was a Stephen Minister and oversaw many Via De Christo walks, including that of his younger brother and many others. Mike took great pride in helping others with their spiritual walks and was known for his daily devotionals. His spirit and love will be missed more than he ever knew.
A Celebration of Life will be held soon; more details to come. For now, all services are private at this time.
He and I were pretty good friends in Jr high
